I'm back down to 1-3% CPU utilization with the same 4 apps open, for now. I'm going to monitor it over the next few days before I close this thread just in case this was a fluke. AMD first launched its Ryzen CPUs in 2016, and were currently on the third generation of CPUs, which were launched in July 2019. What's odd is that after a few restarts, nothing changed, but after shutting down and leaving it alone overnight, the issue SEEMS to be gone. You mean the dreaded full Windows reinstall, yeah? And I thought DDU was just for GPU drivers, so I've never actually used it. Choices seem to be clean reinstall or possibly DDU (I don’t know if that is programmed to get ryzen master bits or not) or reinstall ryzen master and mess with it to slow things down. Controlling fan speed with Ryzen master If I want to control fan speed (say, going between default fan speeds and putting every fan at max speed), is there a way to do this with Ryzen Master Thanks This thread is archived New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast 2 2 comments sdpx 3 yr. There’s a reason Linux and mac people make fun of uninstall wizards. To make it more fun it’s not impossible that it’s low enough level that the uninstall wizard doesn’t get everything. Sounds like you ran into their default speeds which are apparently higher than your bios settings. Accepted values are 2-7, where 2 is the fastest and 7 is the. Ryzen master has fan speed controls which can override bios controls apparently. Determines how quickly the fans accelerate or decelerate when it is time to change fan speeds. I can't be the only one who this has happened to. How could this even happen? I thought Ryzen Master couldn't control fan speeds. Fan control and tuning not working (RX6650XT) Jump to solution. I can't even think straight with all this noise, please help. I also made sure there were no new background apps running. My CPU utilization is higher than normal despite nothing being open but Chrome, Discord, Nord and Task Manager. I reset my BIOS with the software uninstalled, but my fans won't stop running at what sounds like half to full speed (relatively new Noctua fans, if it matters). All I did was install and open it then my fans immediately ramped up, so I promptly uninstalled, restarted into BIOS to check my fan speeds and they're still "silent".
